how do you do that I do all of the steps and it gives me an error HELP!

Here is a link from microsoft on how to set up a home network. Don’t be intimidated by it. Setting up a network now a days is relatively ready since the software does most of the work for you.

  1. Go on the main computer where the printer is physically connected and right-click. Select SHARING and give it a name so you can remember it.

    On the other computer, go in the printer & faxes and select ADD a printer. Select NETWORK printer and NOT local printer. Click OK and a menu will open up. You should see the printer in the SELECT menu and you should see the name of your printer that you have given a name.

    Click it and let the 2 computers communicate and if all is done correctly, the printer will find the other printer. Or you can install the software on the other computer and SELECT ‘network printer’.
