Question by Mia: My Windows Vista laptop won’t connect to the Window XP computers on my network?
It’s connected fine to the internet, all the computers say they are connected to the same home group. None of the other computers can see my laptop. I’ve tried everything, everything is on public, nothing is password protected, according to the online troubleshooting on the website I should be able to connect to them, but I can’t. What should I do? Is there anything I’ve missed. This problem has been going on for months now since I bought it, we have found no solution.

i’m pretty sure that the Operating System has to be the same in order for the computers to connect to each other.
