I live in a dorm at college, and everyone is always having trouble with their computer. The Tech people at the school suck at fixing them and a lot of people end up having them fixed for so much money! I was wondering if it were possible to start a computer repair business from my dorm room, and what should I charge? Should I use flyers or…? Idk. What should I do?

Here is a link from microsoft on how to set up a home network. Don’t be intimidated by it. Setting up a network now a days is relatively ready since the software does most of the work for you.

No. Totally wrong. A VPN is an encrypted tunnel directly into your network. Both ends need to be set with matching encryption, this prevents outsiders from seeing any of your transactions. Anyone who connects to it still has full control on your system and can trash it if they want.

Network cables – thats one reason why fibre optics are used for telecommunications trunks over USB cables. Even USB3 is only 4.8Gbit/s.
