Q&A: How do I set up a wireless access point with Linksys? WAP54G?

Question by Jack Hoff: How do I set up a wireless access point with Linksys? WAP54G?
I got a Linksys Router hooked up to my cable modem inside my basement (WRT54gs). Its not good enough to go 2 floors up without getting all 5 bars of wireless internet. Should I use a wireless access point in order to expand the range of the wireless internet so it could reach my other desktop 3 floors up? How do I set it up?

You must run an ethernet cat 5 cable to the location you plan to install the WAP. You must then configure the ssid and wireless security on the wap.
