Question by Shadowkat: My Windows Vista is finding my home Linksys network, but can’t connect to it…help?
I’m clicking on the little button in the bottom right that shows available networks, and my home network is there, so I click “Connect”, and it says “Failed to connect to [name of network]“. Can someone give some tips on fixing this problem??

Linksys routers in my experience can be a little painful in this regard.
Have you tried connecting via a cable to the router? if so, can you log in to the config page?
Assuming you can, i’d try the router both with a different SSID (wireless name) as well with a different or (atleast in the testing stage) no security.
See how it goes.
What do you think? Answer below!
if your router is too close to a cordless phone or a microwave it can have trouble.
Try unplugging your router for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and try again.
well once again log into routers GUI and configure a new SSID and give security as WEP and give a password in KEY1
save your wireless configuration
and try to connect to your new created SSID or Network name
