Q&A: Whats the difference between Cat 6 and 6a network cables?

Question by rpg_x87: Whats the difference between Cat 6 and 6a network cables?
I bought a net cable from newegg, that’s cat 6, but it says 250mhz on the cable. A buddy of mine has a cat 6 cable that says 550mhz. Whats the difference between the two frequencies? Should I go for the higher one (550mhz – 6a), and call newegg for a refund?

Thanks!
