Ok so this is what i want to do-
have 2 desktops and a laptop
A wireless network both are wireless
A place to save backups critical important saved stuff etc. say on a server without them being corrupted or deleted this would need to be big say 500- 750 GB of space- switching over to pc to do all work
be able to access internet with a wii xbox 360 & ps3 all wirelessly
also be able to share 2 printers
I have used a program called LoMeIn Hamachi use that so yah need a lot
I can handle actual upgrades etc out the computer it is the software and windows that makes me confused
but a link to convert pc to server would be nice with software
and maybe how to then set it all up

you need to set up active directory on one of them, it’s going to be best if you do it on the desktop with xp. then you will be able to use that one as your server and store info there, windows server 2003 would be the best if you could find it

u don’t acctualy need windows server, u can get away with windows xp or vista as server cost alot of $ $ .
then u need someone thats a little tech literate to come down and help u. cuz these are things that are chargable. don’t take this the wrong way
